World's top 10 most competitive digital economies - Finland no 5

China's digital economy became the third most competitive in the world in 2018, following the United States and Singapore, according to the Global Digital Economy Competitiveness Development Report (2019) released by the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences.

The report comprehensively evaluated four parts contributing to a country's digital economy, including digital industry, digital innovation, digital facilities as well as digital governance.

The United States has ranked No 1 for three consecutive years, the report said, indicating that America has a dominant advantage in the world's digital economy, while the gap between China and America is narrowing year by year.
